The Contrast

Working honestly for fair wages and striving to continuously improve is the honorable and dignified way to a better life and world. Avoid honest work and “get ahead” by cheating, exploiting government welfare programs, or lobbying corrupt politicians for “special deals.”

Life Application

Worship God by doing the best you can at everything you do.  Be humble, willing to learn by doing and “work or way up the ladder.”  Earn more by becoming worth more. Stretch the rules to get on disability like so many others do.  Find a government job where you do little and get paid more than you are worth.  Claim to be a victim and sue someone.

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.

Result, Dividend
Anvóy America Old Corrupt World
You will challenge yourself to grow and reach your full potential.  You will always feel good about not unjustly depending on others for support. You will have contributed to making a better world. You will never feel good about your work, your productivity, your accomplishments, or about being a burden to others.  Neither money nor ill-gotten gain will make you happy.

It is human nature to want to be lazy and blame someone else for our problems.  It is an easy excuse, too easy.  Even though sometimes we do face adversity and life situations are often unfair, we all need to do our part.  Few will ever truly succeed without taking the initiative to work hard and focus on improving themselves.  Trying to get more than your fair share of help from others, whether they be friends, family, unions, associations or government agencies will only make you more dependent on them.

Don’t listen to the convenient lies that will exploit you and hold you back.  Get started.  Work hard.  Working really, really hard.  Don’t waste valuable time on too much empty entertainment or hobbies.  And always remember the saying, “God helps those who help themselves.”
