How the Walk is priced
$29 a year, per mentor.
Every student you mentor, every walk.

The mentor pass covers every young person you walk with, in Straight Path and Big Questions. A grandparent or aunt who joins your student’s walk with its code needs no pass of their own. A church with Paradosis ($99 a year) covers every member who mentors.

When the year ends, nothing is lost: every walk stays readable until it is renewed. For a student under 18, a parent in the family approves each new mentor.

Humble preparation

Away from pride

See yourself the way God does, no better and no worse. Then work hard at what He gave you.

Honest and reliable

Away from lying and cheating

Tell the truth the first time, do your own work, and keep your word. Show up when you said you would.

Honor your father and mother

Away from rebellion and disrespect

Obey them the first time, where it lines up with God, and honor them all your life.

A clear mind

Away from things that take over your mind

Nobody decides to be an addict. They decide to have one, at a party, because everybody is looking.

Redeeming the time

Away from screens and social media

Not whether. How much, when, and who decides. You, or the app.

God's design for sex and marriage

Away from twisting god's design

Male and female, one man and one woman for life: God's design is the real thing, and purity keeps it.

Work with all your heart

Away from laziness and putting things off

Not a character flaw. A hundred small choices, each of them "later".

Strong to serve

Away from neglecting your health

Sleep, food, moving. The choices nobody notices until the bill arrives.

Walking with the wise

Away from following the crowd

The moment you know it is wrong and everybody you like is doing it.

Putting God first

Away from selfishness and idolatry

Money, fun, being liked, doing it my way: underneath them all is one idol, me.

Be a peacemaker

Away from anger, hatred and cruel words

Anger sells, and someone is always selling it. God says love your neighbor, even your enemy, and guard your tongue.

Faith and hope

Away from worry and despair

Not whether you feel it. Whether you carry it alone, and let it run your days.

Starting a walk takes an Anvoy account — free, and yours to keep. A student joins with the code on the card their mentor gives them.

How a walk works

1

Start a walk

Their first name, the first path, who you are to them. With a mentor pass ($29 a year) or a church that has the Walk.

2

Give them the card

A card with their name, a six-letter code and a QR code. Print it, text it, or copy it. Anvoy sends nothing for you.

3

Seven pages, any order

Every path is seven pages, online or in the Walkbook, page for page. Take them in any order, more than one at a time.

4

Talk it over

Sit down together over each path, and the mentor signs it off. A grandparent far away joins with the same code.

5

Sign it off, keep it

You write what you saw in them; they write one thing to remember. Every signed path prints into the keepsake.

What you keep

Every path ends in a plan the two of you build together and a line for every time you meet, kept as a page of the keepsake. Here is an example, for Redeeming the time.

Redeeming the time

Sam & Grandpa · opened Sept 24 · signed off Oct 22
Only God changes us. This plan is how we stay close to Him (James 4:6).
The danger
More than 3 in 4 high school students use social media several times a day (77%). (CDC Youth Risk Behavior Survey, 2023) Students who use social media several times a day are about 35% more likely to feel sad or hopeless for weeks at a time. (CDC, MMWR Supplement 73(4), 2024)
What God says
Ephesians 5:15-16
“My time belongs to God, and He cares how I use it; I want to agree with Him.” Sam: I lean toward it
My plan
  • Put off: Scrolling in bed
  • Put on: My phone sleeps outside my room
  • Put on: One screen-free hour every day
  • My hardest moment: Late at night. Then I will: put it on the charger in the kitchen and read.
My verse and my prayer
Psalm 90:12
Lord, my hours are Yours. When I reach for the phone, help me reach for You first.
Each time we met

What Grandpa saw in Sam
“You told me the truth when it would have been easier not to. That’s where it starts.”

No AI writes any of it: the words are yours, the passages are from the Bible itself.

Part of Foundational Values

One framework. This is one of its tools.

Straight Path teaches twelve of the 100+ statements in Anvoy’s Foundational Values, in Character, Glory, Family, Work and Life. Every walk names the statement it is about, and what the student answers lands in their own My Beliefs.

Life's Big Questions teaches twelve more, in Life, Creator, Truth, Justice, Faith and Glory.
