These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
Proverbs 6:16-19 (KJV)
For most of my life I never realized how dishonest, manipulating, self-serving and harmful most politicians and media elites are. I wasn’t paying attention, and I just assumed what they were saying was true. I thought they were acting in good faith.
But when problems got worse rather than better, I started paying attention and asking questions.
Why was it that the politicians who claimed to “care about others” before they were elected never did anything to help after they were elected? Then I realized that if they did help those in need, they would lose their control over them. What these “con-men” really do is keep people down, so that they can exploit them for votes. That is pure evil.
This evil happens every day and will continue as long as you and I let it. Want to really help the poor and less fortune? Stop the elites who selfishly lie to them and exploit them.
We are easy targets because we are human. We want to believe that our problems are not our fault. We are attracted to politicians and media elites who tell us we are victims and that someone else is to blame for our suffering.
Meanwhile the truth often hurts. When those who love us tell us that our suffering is caused by our own laziness, incompetence or bad decisions, we would rather punch them than vote for them.
But which person is acting in good faith? Who is showing us true love? And who is just trying to abuse us for their own benefit?
We need to help stop the division in America. Another Voyage is a tool to help us do that.
