Gender is Binary

All children are born with a sinful nature. Some are more rebellious than others. This harmful, self-destructive tendency can be expressed in many different ways. It is the duty of parents to continually correct and instruct their children in the honorable ways of truth. Few things could be more harmful to a young, developing child than to deliberately confuse or contribute to their confusion about their unchangeable gender.

Every child is different. Some boys may for whatever reason enjoy playing with dolls or doing other activities normally preferred by girls. Some girls may like activities like “cops-n-robbers” normally done by boys. This is normal, but it doesn’t mean that they should be unhappy with their biological gender. Except for extremely rare genetic defects, all boys are 100% boys and all girls are 100% girl. To participate in the world’s fascination with lying about biological gender only spreads harmful delusion and confusion.

Taking the extreme step of medical intervention to modify one’s gender, either via hormone therapy or surgery, does permanent damage that can not be reversed, even though many have regrets and would like to undo it later. Such damage to a minor, who is not of age to give informed consent, should be considered child abuse.
