21 Clearly Defined Essential Principles

The values are organized into 3 categories. Scroll down to see the 3 categories. The list of values for each categories follows below.

Spiritual Values

These principles that have been carefully preserved in written form for thousands of years by Sacred Texts of the Jewish and Christian faiths (the Torah and the Bible). These scriptures and values are believed to be inspired by our Creator God.

Social Values

These values are like an “owner’s manual” for life. They have been used as a bedrock foundation for stable societies for two millennia. They shine as bright lights in stark contrast to otherwise dark ages of history.

Political Values

These concepts are interwoven into the fabric of the American nation. Our Founding Fathers used these principles as the basis for the United States Constitution and its early amendments know as the “Bill of Rights.”

#1 Faith in God

We believe in a single, all-powerful, all-knowing, eternal God: the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

#2 Universal Truth

God reveals unchanging truth via Holy Scripture (Bible/Tanakh). Morals are universal.

Opposing Secular View:  Truth can change. Morals are relative.

#3 God Created Everything

God created the universe and everything in it.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. -Genesis 1:1

Opposing Secular View:  Everything came from nothing.

God gives life. All human life is especially precious, even the unborn.

Opposing Secular View:  Society decides which lives matter.

#5 Redemption from Sin

People are born with a sinful nature and need redemption.

Opposing Secular View:  People are inherently good.

#6 Accountability to God

The body dies but our soul (spirit) lives eternally. Souls will be judged by God according to His laws. God will reward the good and punish the wicked.

And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment. -Hebrews 9:27

Opposing Secular View:  Everything ends with death.

#7 Spiritual Warfare

God allows spiritual battles between good and evil, but He ultimately wins the war.

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. -Ephesians 6:12

Opposing Secular View:  There is no “spiritual world,” only a physical world.

Social Values
#8 to #14

#8 The Family is Critically Important

The traditional family is the “building block” of society. Parents are responsible for raising and educating children.

You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. -Deuteronomy 6:7

Opposing Secular View:  The government is ultimately responsible for raising and educating children.

#9 Marriage is Sacred

Marriage is defined by God to be a lifelong union between one man and one woman. Sex is intended only for marriage.

Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. -Genesis 2:24

Opposing Secular View:   Marriage can be redefined. Sex is permitted outside of marriage.

#10 Gender is defined

Gender is either male or female. It is determined by biology at birth. Gender differences are celebrated as beneficial to society.

Male and female created he them -Genesis 5:2

Opposing Secular View:  There are many different genders which are determined by a person’s feelings. Traditional gender roles and differences are suppressed.

#11 We are One Blood

We are all decedents of the same parents. People should be judged by their character, not their demographics.

From Many, One: e pluribus unum.

Opposing Secular View:  Gender, race and ethnicity are exploited to divide people into opposing groups and create strife for political gain.

#12 Love your Enemies

Hate evil, but love those who oppose you enough to share the truth with them and do everything you can help them improve their understanding and actions.

Opposing Secular View:   Multiculturalism is taught which either promotes or tolerates everything except Traditional Judeo-Christian values.

#13 Redress of Grievances

Seek help via prayer and peaceful, non-violent resistance.

Political Values

Rights such as freedom of speech and religion are God-given.

The people are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights.

Opposing Secular View:   Rights are allowed and denied by government.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal.

Opposing Secular View: The goal of “social justice” is equal outcomes regardless of individual effort and performance.

#17 Limit Government

The poor historical performance of political elites drives a desire for a nationalistic, fiscally conservative, and constitutionally limited government.

Government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth. -Abraham Lincoln

Opposing Secular View:  Pride and the lust of elites for more power drives progressivism, socialism, and globalism.

#18 The Engine of Progress

Individuals unencumbered by excessive government control create the progress that benefits the whole nation.

Opposing Secular View:  Progress comes from government elites who use high taxes and regulation to force their policies on the nation.

Opposing Secular View:  Government enforcement of “the collective good” is favored over individual opportunity.

#20 Stewardship of God’s Creation

Opposing Secular View:  Nature is worshiped. Preservation of the environment is used as a pretext to undermine capitalism.

#21 Support the Nation of Israel

Respect for the descendents of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (the Jewish people) and their right to their homeland.

Opposing Secular View:  Tends to be anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian.

Why are Traditional Judeo-Christian Values Important?

Traditional Judeo-Christian values have passed the test of time.  They have proven very valuable in the formation of stable and prosperous societies.  As we see our nation abandoning these principles, we worry that future generations will lose the blessings that we have enjoyed.

History offers many tragic examples of mass murder and injustice that arise as nations turn their back on God and his laws and embrace godless philosophies.  Hundreds of millions have died in the last century alone as a direct result of Nazism in Germany and Marxist communism is Russia, China and Southeast Asia.

That is why we must do everything we can to help others understand not only what traditional Judeo-Christian values are, but also why they are so important for liberty, peace and prosperity.
